No Child Left Behind: Local Report

The 2011 progress report for Washington County School District has been released, in connection with the No Child Left Behind act.

The report is optimistic, with the majority of local schools being ranked as ‘proficient’ in accordance to the guidelines.

In fact, all but four made the grade, which still constitutes as an improvement from the previous year. Passing or failing is based on the academic achievement of students, more specifically the achievement of minorities and students with disabilities. And with the guidelines in place to get every child to college, it’s good news for the Washington County School District.
