A brush fire that burned along SR-18 near the turn-off to Diamond Valley and the Snow Canyon Volcano has been contained.
Crews arrived at the scene of the fire, and were able to contain it within a few hours. Officials said the containment took longer than expected due to high winds, and hot temperatures. The cause and size of the fire are not yet known.
