Iron County School District is surely excited to announce that their own district’s superintendent, Jim Johnson, has been named the Utah Superintendent of the Year. The title was awarded to him Tuesday night in Sandy, where his peers voted at the Utah School Superintendents Association meeting.
Johnson already has already attained a certain level of educational prestige, heralded for his aid in beginning the SUCCESS Academy. He is also serving as a member of the Governor’s Education Excellence Commission, as well as the Board of Trustees at Southern Utah University. Johnson is also president of the Utah School Superintendents Association.
