The Dixie State women’s soccer team won 5-0 as Jennifer Mason helped the team sweep Chaminade University.

Mason scored her 11th collegiate goal of the season less than two minutes into the game, and she came back later in the first half to score again as Dixie led the game 2-0.

In the beginning of the second half, freshman Megan Marchbanks set up Mason for her third goal with a header to bring the game to 3-0 Dixie.

The Silverswords tried to fight back but couldn’t hold off Dixie as Kelsey Hansen gave the Red Storm their fourth goal with 17 seconds left.

Dixie’s Danica Pickett aimed at the right side of the net and gained her first collegiate goal four minutes later. She gave Dixie a score of 5-0 to end the game.

Mason had her third hat trick of the season this game. The Red Storm had 38 shots and 21 on goal for the game. Dixie improved to 6-3-2 overall and 6-1 in the PacWest.

The Red Storm play BYU-Hawaii on Monday at 7 p.m. at Dixie High School.
