The 2011 Washington County Emergency Preparedness EXPO

AUGUST 4, 2011 – When a catastrophic disaster strikes, preparation makes the difference.

WHAT: The Washington County Emergency Local Emergency Planning Committee is hosting the second annual Washington County Emergency Preparedness Expo featuring emergency preparedness and training to the public. Fifteen different breakout sessions are scheduled and Ivins City Public Safety Director and former FEMA Region VIII Director Bob Flowers will give a keynote speech. The Expo will also feature vendor booths with displays, information, and preparedness products. Last year’s Expo provided training and information to over 600 county residents and visitors and attendance is expected to be far greater this year.

WHO: The Washington County Emergency Preparedness Expo is open to the public at no cost.

WHY: To ensure Washington County businesses and residents are prepared for emergencies. WHEN: September 10, 2011, 10:00 to 2:45 (Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Vendor booths will be open at that time.)

REGISTRATION: Seating is limited for the breakout sessions so online registration is encouraged. Each individual must register so we have an accurate account of attendance; therefore one person registering for multiple family members is not allowed.
