The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, known for its particularly graceful performances, have released a special tribute album dedicated to all those affected by the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“9/11: Rising Above” features six different cuts from their September 11 telecast, which originally featured news legend Tom Brokaw as a narrator. The narrations have been cut from the album.
The recordings commemorate the tenth anniversary of the attacks, but mark a special new direction for the choir itself as well. The new release is also the choirs first “digital-only” album, meaning it won’t be found in local department or record stores. It is currently on sale exclusively on iTunes or on the Deseret Book website, deseretbook.com.
