Hundreds of young and old alike gathered on Tuesday, October 11, to welcome the “Reggae Cowboys” to Dixie State College’s Burns Arena.
In conjunction with the Huntsman World Senior Games, the Bellamy Brothers performed for nearly 500 athletes, students, and community members. They played hit songs such as “Redneck Girl,” “Reggae Cowboy,” “Old Hippie” and “Let Your Love Flow.” Many could be found dancing in the aisles to the country island sounds that have made Howard and David famous. The laid-back country with often hidden political messages entertained and had most of the crowd stomping along with the beat.
The Burns Arena came alive as the first notes of ” Let Your Love Flow” were played as that is one of the band’s most notable hits. The brothers stated that this is a great opportunity and they are glad to see so many senior athletes still able to do what they love.
