Fictionist Performs Concert at Jubilee of Trees

Provo-based psychedelic rock band Fictionist came to town Thursday night and played a show at the Jubilee of Trees charity event.

The concert took place in the Dixie Convention Center at about 8:30, opening with fan-favorite “Swept Away,” before filling the set with mostly new material. The band released a new EP this week, and also confirmed that a full-length album is in the works.

Since the group’s recent signing to Atlantic Records, the band seemed energized and eager to see their St. George fans for the first time in many months.

Singer/Guitarist/Bassist Stuart Maxfield was gracious enough to give us a quick interview after the show, discussing Jubilee of Trees, the band’s new EP, and crazy siblings.

The Jubilee of Trees was organized this year in support of Dixie Regional’s NICU patients, and will remain open until November 21.
