Pipe Spring Holiday Event December 3 – Mark Your Calendar!
Fredonia, AZ – Take a step back in time at Pipe Spring National Monument on December 3 during a special evening event called Winsor Castle by Night. You are invited to join rangers and staff in a true pioneer celebration as we welcome in the holiday season on Tuesday, December 3 from 5-8pm. This unique opportunity for visitors to experience Winsor Castle by lamplight only happens once a year. Winsor Castle will be decorated with handmade holiday décor just like the late 1800s. Come and sing old time carols around a pump organ that dates back to the 1890s. You are welcome and encouraged to join the rangers and other staff in dressing up in the fashions of the late 1800s.

There will be hot apple cider and a hot campfire ready to warm your hands and body at the chuck wagon. Enjoy cowboy fiddles tunes, share stories with friends and neighbors, listen to the sounds of livestock settling down for the night, and marvel at the clear, cold sky full of stars reminding us that winter has arrived.

The Pipe Spring – Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians Visitor Center and Museum will be open to the public. The multi-cultural museum contains exhibits with artifacts and information about the different cultures that used the spring. You can also watch the Pipe Spring film “Encounter on the High Desert”, try your hand at making an old-fashioned holiday decoration, and take advantage of the holiday sale at the Pipe Spring gift shop.

For more information, call Pipe Spring National Monument at 928-643-7105 or visit www.nps.gov/pisp. Regular entrance fees apply ($5.00 per adult, 16 and older).
