An investigation and search for Jessica Ashlee Barlow is underway, who was last seen Sept. 28.

Missing person fliers were posted around town, picturing Barlow, 19, of Washington, announcing she was last seen in St. George near Dixie State University. Washington City Police Department is handling the investigation.

According to a media report released Tuesday by WCPD, Barlow was reported missing  Oct. 1 by a family member. She was last seen Sept. 28 when she left the residence.  She told family members she was going out with friends.

Ed Kantor, public information officer at Washington City Police Department, said so far, there is no evidence of foul play. WCPD has issued an “Attempt to Locate” status to check on her well being.

Barlow may be in the company of one or more male individuals from out of state, wrote Kantor.  She may be riding in a 2014 Hyundai Elantra passenger car with Nebraska license plate SHU031.

Jadie Bell, who has been friends with Jessica Barlow for over nine years, said Barlow doesn’t have a phone and often checks in with her family through Facebook. Bell also said Barlow has a 2-year-old daughter.

Bell said Barlow’s family began to get nervous after she didn’t check in for several days.

“We are just really worried about the whole situation,” Bell said. “She’s got a baby at home.”

WCPD encouraged anyone who knows where Jessica might be, or sees her or the vehicle, to contact the Washington City Police Department through the Washington County consolidated dispatch center at (435) 634-5730 or the Washington City Police Department detective division at (435) 986-1515.
